The UNESCO World Heritage site Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe is only 7 km away from our hotel in Kassel. On over 5.600 hectares, the park offers a vast variety of natural landscapes, activities and attractions - one of which is the Hercules monument at Karlsberg (Charles' Mountain). During the nighttime, the statue and the impressive fountain are wonderfully illuminated. Definitely worth a visit.

Today, the historical museum building and art gallery Fridericianum is home to an exhibition of contemporary art. Every 5 years, the museum is the central venue of the documenta, one of the world's most important art events.

Wilhelmsthal Palace
